Formatting Requirements

All JSAUR publications use a standardized template that can be found here. Authors are not required to format their own papers when submitting, but the formatting of the manuscript should be ligible and satisfy our content requirements. All submitted manuscripts must contain an abstract, methodology, data (if applicable), and conclusion.

Content Requirements

At JSAUR, we encourage freedom in research across all disciplines. However, for legal, ethical, and logistical reasons, all submissions must adhere to the following standards:

  1. Replicability: Submissions must include enough detail in the methodology so that independent researchers with adequate resources can replicate the study and achieve comparable results. If an author believes that there exists conflicts of interest that might influence their replicability, this information must be attatched in an appendix.
  2. Original Work and References: All submissions must be the original work of the author(s) and free from plagarism. Any claims, statements, or conclusions not directly supported by the author’s original data must be backed by appropriate citations. All external data, studies, or materials used must be properly cited.
  3. Ethical and Legal Data Collection: All data must be collected in accordance with the relevant legal guidelines of the jurisdiction from which the research is submitted, as well as ethical guidelines in their field of research. This includes obtaining necessary approvals (e.g., IRB for human subjects, or equivalent where applicable).

Authors retain full ownership of their work. However, JSAUR reserves the right to retract any publication that violates these guidelines or is found to contain ethical, legal, or methodological breaches.

If you discover that one of our publications has violated these requirements, please contact us here.
